Overview

This leadership position is responsible for managing, motivating, and driving the performance of a team of Sales Executives to achieve the Personal Loan acquisition targets for the Northern region. The Group Sales Manager will execute strategic sales plans, ensure high productivity, coach team members on product and selling skills, and maintain a culture of strict compliance and excellent customer service. This role is crucial for ensuring team alignment with the bank's financial goals and overall sales strategy.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

1. Sales Leadership and Performance Management (Functional & Managerial)

  • Supervise and review sales executives' individual performance and goals based on their monthly output.

  • Closely monitor and track team sales productivity to ensure optimal performance.

  • Plan and execute team sales plans in order to achieve the monthly and annual acquisition targets.

  • Plan, set, and ensure monthly sales targets by individual Sales Executive are achieved.

  • Lead and motivate team members to achieve their respective individual Key Result Area (KRA) targets.

  • Manage and guide new recruits and existing Personal Loan staff.

2. Coaching and Team Development (Managerial)

  • Coach and develop Sales Executives to enhance their Product Knowledge and selling skills.

  • Coach and motivate the Sales Executives and create a highly charged and aggressive sales team.

  • Cultivate a professional working atmosphere that encourages career development and reduces staff attrition.

  • Ensure the team's headcount requirements are consistently met.

3. Stakeholder Liaison and Compliance (Functional & Organizational)

  • Communicate and liaise with credit initiation, policy, and other relevant departments on issues related to loan acquisition.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and new customers.

  • Ensure all team members comply with business policies, practices, and regulations.

  • To liaise with Voice of Customer (VOC) to handle and resolve customers' complaints in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Ensure compliance and consistency with the Bank's policy in all Personal Loan acquisition efforts and internal and external dealings.

  • Cultivate a strong customer service culture and awareness among Sales Executives.

Experience/Requirements
  • Education/Qualification: Minimum a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in a related field.

  • Experience: Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

    • Minimum five (5) years of sales management experience in the financial industry.

    • Minimum five (5) years of sales experience in loan or the financial industry with prior experience as a Sales Manager.

  • Skills:

    • Must possess strong people management and leadership skills.

    • Proven ability to motivate, coach, and drive a sales team towards achieving challenging targets.

    • Strong understanding of the loan or financial products industry, policies, and regulations.
