As a Plantation Manager for our Rubber plantation, you will oversee the plantation's operational activities with a focus on optimizing yield, monitoring plant health through effective pest control, fertilization, and disease prevention practices while maintaining sustainable farming practices. You will be responsible for managing tasks such as tapping, latex collection, tree maintenance, and workforce supervision. Your role involves ensuring the plantation meets production goals, adheres to environmental standards, and maintains safety protocols, along with managing budgets and liaising with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations including tree tapping, latex collection, tree care, and disease prevention.
  • Supervise the workforce, ensuring efficient allocation and productivity in latex harvesting and processing.
  • Monitor the health of rubber trees and soil conditions to maximize latex yield.
  • Manage budgets, track expenses, and prepare performance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with agricultural and safety regulations.
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of tapping tools, machinery, and equipment.
  • Implement and maintain organizational structure to streamline operations.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and suppliers to ensure smooth plantation management and procurement of necessary resources.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in plantation or farm management, with specific knowledge of rubber tree cultivation is a must have.
  • Strong understanding of rubber tapping techniques, tree care, and sustainability practices.
  • Leadership skills to manage teams and optimize workflow.
  • Financial management experience, including budgeting and performance reporting.
  • Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English, for coordinating with suppliers, authorities, and other stakeholders.
