Job Summary

The System Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the company's IT infrastructure — including servers, networks, storage, and system applications. The role ensures high availability, performance, and security of all systems to support business operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  1. System Administration & Maintenance

  2. Manage, configure, and monitor servers (Windows, Linux, or hybrid environments).

  3. Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.

  4. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.

  5. Network & Security Management

  6. Manage LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and IP configurations.

  7. Troubleshoot connectivity issues and ensure secure access control.

  8. Collaborate with security teams to maintain compliance and protect systems.

  9. Infrastructure Planning & Implementation

  10. Design and deploy new systems and network solutions.

  11. Evaluate hardware/software requirements and recommend improvements.

  12. Participate in infrastructure migration, virtualization, or cloud integration projects.

  13. Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  14. Proactively monitor system performance and logs.

  15. Respond to incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

  16. Maintain documentation of configurations, processes, and incidents.

  17. User & Technical Support

  18. Provide Level 2/3 technical support to end users and other departments.

  19. Support deployment of new applications and systems across teams.

  20. Collaboration & Project Support

  21. Work closely with development, operations, and project teams.

  22. Contribute to technical documentation, procedures, and standards.

  23. Participate in system testing, integration, and deployment planning.

Qualifications & Requirements

1· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

2· 2–5 years of experience in system administration or infrastructure management.

3· Strong knowledge in:

  • Windows Server / Linux systems / Open-source systems

  • Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)

  • Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs)

  • Cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

  • Backup and recovery solutions

-Familiar with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Optional

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4, RM5,500.00 per month
