Role Overview

As a Project Manager, you will oversee and manage construction projects from start to completion. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, all while adhering to the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance. This role demands strong leadership, effective planning, and hands-on project management.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and oversee all on-site activities to ensure objectives and standards are consistently met.
• Develop comprehensive project site schedules and work plans, managing all phases from initiation to completion.
• Allocate resources efficiently, including materials, manpower, and equipment, to support smooth project progression.
• Track project timelines, budgets, and milestones to guarantee timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Supervise subcontractors' daily site activities, ensuring alignment with project schedules and budget constraints.
• Inspect workmanship on-site, ensuring contractors meet quality standards and apply proper construction techniques.
• Liaise with consultants and site teams to ensure project initiation and progress go smoothly and meet technical specifications.
• Conduct site meetings, preparing and submitting detailed reports on site progress, safety, work quality, and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, DOE).
• Prepare and implement site-specific quality, safety, health, and environmental plans, ensuring subcontractors follow all site safety protocols.
• Collaborate with consultants on technical aspects and resolve site matters as needed.
• Review construction drawings with a focus on site execution, ensuring all work meets specifications and addressing any on-site discrepancies.
• Oversee project completion to achieve the CPC & CCC.
• Support the submission and approval processes with local authorities to ensure project compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage the vacant possession and defect liability periods, ensuring smooth project handover and addressing any arising issues.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural or equivalent;
• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in construction project management or a similar role;
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects, timelines, and resources.
• Strong knowledge of local construction codes, safety regulations, and quality standards, with an in-depth understanding of technical aspects of construction;
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills;
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical and construction drawings;
• Proficiency in Mandarin is required to meet operational needs;
• Strong leadership skills with a growth mindset to develop and lead a team, combined with the ability to work independently and bring creativity to problem-solving;
• Willingness to work across multiple locations and sites as required;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project)
