Vega Instruments Malaysia Sdn Bhd is the official subsidiary of VEGA Grieshaber KG, a world leader in the area of level, switching and pressure measurement. For more than 60 years now, VEGA provides solutions to demanding measuring tasks in chemical and pharmaceutical plants, food and beverage manufacturing factories, drinking water supply and sewage treatment plants, landfills, mining operations, power generation, oil platforms, recycling, shipping and aerospace industries.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Maintaining high-quality relationships with individual customers
  • Create quotations that meet applicable expectations/procedures (including appropriate equipment, process conditions, prices, delivery terms)
  • Handling general and technical inquiries, orders, and complaints according to established procedures
  • Follow-up on quotations
  • Understanding the needs and requirements of customers and the ability to advise and support them
  • Working cross functional with External Sales, or other interested parties, of all pending matters

Qualifications & experience

  • Technical knowledge - You have the necessary specialized knowledge in form of a respective degree (mechanical/electronic/process-industrial automation engineering or equivalent) - Great willingness to learn in order to constantly deepen your knowledge
  • Commercial understanding - Ability to understand the commercial priorities of the business
  • Results Orientation
  • Customer focus - You are willing to investigate the wishes and needs of the customer, and act accordingly within the organizational goals
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to find timely solution
  • Experience in instrumentation such as pressure, level & nucleonic will be an added advantage/preferred
