JOB SUMMARY
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons with clear learning objectives and high expectations, incorporating essential content, skills, and concepts.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of students' backgrounds and learning contexts to personalize instruction and guide students toward their next learning steps.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive curriculum plans and schemes of work aligned with the school's strategic goals, chosen curricula, and both local and global contexts.
- Exhibit curiosity and a commitment to continuous professional growth by enhancing pedagogical content knowledge and fostering a culture of reflection and innovation.
- Confidently integrate technology into teaching and learning, using it thoughtfully and purposefully.
- Assign meaningful and appropriately challenging homework that reinforces classroom learning.
- Create and maintain a positive classroom climate where all students feel safe, respected, and ready to learn.
- Promote and safeguard student well-being, adhering to the school's safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Learning Support and English Support teachers to identify and address barriers to learning.
- Implement ongoing formative assessments to provide timely, constructive feedback that helps students progress effectively.
- Encourage active student participation in learning, assessment, and reflection, empowering students to identify and pursue their own learning goals.
- Use baseline data effectively to monitor individual student progress, inform instructional decisions, and personalize support.
- Model the highest standards of academic integrity and professionalism.
- Ensure accurate and consistent reporting, grading, and moderation in collaboration with colleagues and the Assistant Principal (International Primary).
- Provide progress updates to colleagues and parents as required, maintaining clear and professional communication.
- Uphold health and safety practices, completing relevant assessments, near-miss, or incident reports as necessary.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the department.
- Participate in the wider school community through involvement in special events, theme weeks, marketing activities, and other initiatives.
- Support the organization and supervision of school trips and expeditions.
- Serve as a Homeroom Teacher, fostering a supportive and caring classroom environment.
- Create engaging and visually stimulating learning spaces that reflect students' learning journeys.
- Offer enriching Extra-Curricular Activities (ECAs) that cater to the diverse interests and needs of students.
- Provide occasional cover for absent colleagues when required.
- Maintain effective communication with parents through formal and informal channels, offering constructive feedback and actionable learning steps during progress meetings.
- Establish and sustain positive working relationships with all colleagues.
- Supervise students as part of a scheduled duty roster.
- Undertake any additional tasks reasonably assigned by the Assistant Principal (International Primary) or the Executive Principal, as relevant to the role.
- Actively engage in professional learning, coaching, mentoring, and performance management to support continuous professional and personal development.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field.
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in a primary school setting.
- Strong interpersonal, cross-cultural, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse nationalities and cultures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience with thematic or inquiry-based curricula is an advantage.

Pay: RM3, RM4,000.00 per month
