The role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Hospital Lam Wah Ee as an Assistant Manager (Finance). In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial accounting and reporting support to the Finance department. The role is based in Penang Island and is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

  1. Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements
  2. Perform detailed account reconciliations and analysis to ensure accuracy of financial records
  3. Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts and other financial reports
  4. Support the month-end and year-end close processes
  5. Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide financial information and advice
  6. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and financial regulations
  7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls
  8. Able to train and supervise staff

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar financial accounting and reporting role , preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, practices and procedures
  • Proficient in the use of financial software and MS Office applications
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and adaptable with a positive attitude
