About the role

Tastiway Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Purchasing Executive to join their team. This full-time position is based in Alor Setar, Kedah, and will play a crucial role in the company's procurement and inventory management processes.

What you'll be doing

  1. Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms for materials, goods, and services required by the business
  2. Placing purchase orders, managing order fulfilment, and ensuring timely delivery of all procured items
  3. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records and monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking
  4. Analysing purchasing data and making recommendations to improve procurement processes and maximise cost savings
  5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align purchasing activities accordingly
  6. Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industries
  2. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on continuous improvement
  4. Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software, as well as Microsoft Office applications
  5. A team player with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
  6. Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field
