We are seeking a Monitoring & Reporting Engineer to support technology obsolescence initiatives by managing and maintaining CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and asset data. The role involves performing data reconciliation, health checks, and ensuring accurate configuration item (CI) relationships and service mapping. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in CMDB processes, data validation, and automation using VB or Excel Macros.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage CMDB data, including Discovery, Manual Entry, and Import Sets.
  • Maintain and update CI classes, relationships, and service mapping.
  • Perform data reconciliation in CMDB, including rules, logs, and reporting.
  • Conduct CMDB health checks and validate data accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using VB and Excel Macros for reporting and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with asset management standards.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with CMDB and Asset Management processes.
  • Familiarity with Discovery, Manual Entry, and Import Sets in CMDB.
  • Strong knowledge of CI classes, relationships, and service mapping.
  • Proficiency in VB and Excel Macros for automation and reporting.
  • 3–5 years of experience in monitoring, reporting, or configuration management.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of data quality and reconciliation best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure and service mapping concepts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to RM8,000.00 per month
