About our client:

Our client, a prominent leader in the Power Infrastructure Solution industry, is currently seeking a Head of Finance. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will oversee and drive the financial health and strategic direction of the group's business operations in Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee business units' goals and targets and leading strong team managers in the finance area.
  • Develop and monitor budgets and strategic financial plans, with key emphasis on quarterly reviews of the company's profitability and cash flow position.
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to the company's managers and staff to enable them to achieve their objectives.
  • Establish and implement short and long term departmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures.
  • Monitor costing, expenditures, revenue and use of company resources to manage the budget.
  • Provides leadership and coordination of Company financial reporting, planning and budget management functions. Ensures company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Manage the cash-flow position of the company. Responsibility includes authority to establish credit and collections and purchasing policies and to establish schedules for the payment of bills and financial obligations.
  • Approve all agreements concerning financial obligations, such as contracts for products or services and other actions requiring a commitment of financial resources.
  • Oversee the preparation of the company's financial accounts to ensure that these are presented accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance of policies and internal controls, as well as implementation of finance work process improvements.

Key Requirements:

  • Min degree, CPA/ACCA/CIMA qualification.
  • Min 10-15 years of working experience within Listed Company.
  • Commercially driven professional with exceptional problem-solving and creative skills, capable of exercising sound judgment and making well-informed decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal & stakeholder management skills with good business acumen & strategic thinking.
  • Highly-motivated, results-oriented, and forward-thinking leader/team player with good work ethic, credibility, and sense of integrity
