About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven
Senior Project Manager, Wholesale Banking Program Management
to join RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will manage key strategic projects and programs to achieve business objectives across multiple countries. You will lead cross-functional teams, deliver complex initiatives, and ensure alignment with organizational goals while maintaining high standards of quality, governance, and risk management.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Manage new key strategic projects and programs, defining clear objectives, timelines, costs, and resources.
  • Initiate and set goals for projects/programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and organizational goals.
  • Lead strategic projects/programs across multiple countries in the region.
  • Guide teams of subject matter experts to produce architectural changes and technical solutions that meet project and business needs.
  • Provide leadership to plan, manage, and implement large-scale, complex, and high-budget projects successfully.
  • Coordinate multiple related projects under program-level initiatives.
  • Manage interdependencies, risks, and key issues, escalating when necessary for guidance or decision-making.
  • Oversee all activities within the project/program management lifecycle to ensure completion on time, within budget, and scope.
  • Manage project/program budgets, closely monitoring costs throughout the lifecycle.
  • Ensure project/program quality by embedding quality processes where applicable.
  • Identify and manage project/program risks and implement risk management processes.
  • Develop and execute efficient communication strategies for all levels of management.
  • Build strong relationships with internal senior management and external vendors, influencing stakeholders to align with project/program objectives.
  • Manage staffing plans, recruitment, and team development for the project/program.
  • Oversee sourcing requirements, manage supplier contracts, and facilitate negotiation processes.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, coaching, and performance management for team members.
  • Develop, implement, and socialize best practices for project-related tasks across the organization.
  • Establish and execute governance frameworks and ensure compliance with audit and risk requirements.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on project progress and status to the Board of Directors, relevant committees, Senior Management, PSC, and project teams.

  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex programs/projects in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive results.
  • Solid experience in program and project governance, risk management, and quality assurance.
  • Excellent budget management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple geographies and manage diverse teams.
  • Experience in banking or financial services is an advantage.
