About the role

As a Site Engineer/Project Engineer at JFA JAYA SDN BHD, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects in Penang. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects within the civil/structural engineering field.

What you'll be doing

  1. Supervising and coordinating construction activities on site to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  2. Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns that arise during the construction process
  3. Reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements
  4. Monitoring and managing the quality of work performed by construction teams
  5. Preparing progress reports, financial records, and other documentation related to the project
  6. Identifying and addressing potential risks or challenges that could impact the project's success
  7. Providing technical guidance and support to the construction team as needed

What we're looking for

  1. A bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering or a related field
  2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar site engineer or project engineer role, preferably in the construction industry
  3. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment
  4. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
  5. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  6. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  7. Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures
