Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Input and manage journal entries in the SAP FI module accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of general ledger (GL) entries for monthly financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial reports for both Local and Group Management.
  • Handle statutory reporting requirements for government authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly reports to the Central Bank in compliance with reporting standards.
  • Ensure adherence to Central Bank regulations on customer receipts.
  • Comply with all relevant financial regulations, including the Unclaimed Moneys Act, Accounting Standards, Income Tax Act, and Companies Act.
  • Ensure timely tax payments and submission of tax returns to the Inland Revenue Board.
  • Coordinate and support external financial audits and internal control reviews.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and internal control teams (SLS Audit & Internal Control).
  • Conduct internal evaluations to identify non-compliance, potential fraud risks, and adequacy of asset safeguarding measures.
  • Report internal control findings to local management, recommend improvements, and implement corrective actions upon approval.
  • Review local financial policies and procedures to ensure alignment with Safran Group (GRP) and SLS PCD requirements.
  • Perform annual internal control audits according to SLS Audit and Internal Control checkpoints.
  • Ensure timely submission of internal control audit reports to SLS Audit and Internal Control.
  • Maintain proper and up-to-date financial records and filing systems.
  • Participate actively in company initiatives related to Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental policies, as well as Energy efficiency programs (e.g., I-See I-Act, GPI, low carbon initiatives).
  • Comply with all Business Ethics, Anti-Corruption, and Flight Safety Management System policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other finance or accounting duties as assigned by Management or superiors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in Finance or Management Accounting.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in financial or management accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and taxation practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong business acumen.
  • Experience with SAP system preferred.
  • Auditing experience will be an added advantage.
