Position Purpose and Nature
- The purpose of the role is to plan and implement Business Development and Marketing activities in order to meet company targets for retention growth and profitability and to contribute to the executive management of the company.
- Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.
Key Accountability and Duties
- Plan, lead, and execute direct marketing and sales initiatives in line with the company's approved business plans.
- Conduct market research and analysis to generate insights on socio-economic trends, customer needs, market share, and both traditional and emerging competitors.
- Assist in identifying and pursuing new business, project, and commercialization opportunities in collaboration with the Head of Consultancy, Academic & Professional Development (APD), leveraging the company's reputation and network effectively.
- Provide strategic support to top management through well-prepared presentations, reports, and market trend analyses to inform decision-making.
- Manage and optimize web and email channels, blogs, videos, and graphic content in collaboration with the Head of Consultancy, Academic & Professional Development to support current organizational priorities.
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day updates and maintenance of the company's main website and social media platforms to ensure timely and relevant content.
- Involved in the preparation of the business plan, ensuring alignment with IIUM Consultancy and Innovation's development goals and objectives.
- Manage and monitor the company's social media presence to strengthen brand visibility and engagement.
- Safeguard the organization's interests by maintaining confidentiality of all sensitive and proprietary information.
- Drive achievement of marketing, business development, and commercialization targets through the effective implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of business proposals and presentations for potential clients, collaborators, and stakeholders, with the approval of the CEO or Head of Consultancy, Academic & Professional Development.
- Support the development and execution of strategic and tactical marketing plans and campaigns.
- Assist in preparing and managing the marketing and business development budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and measurable ROI.
- Ensure all marketing activities and materials are consistent with IIUM Consultancy's branding guidelines and positioning.
- Monitor and evaluate marketing performance metrics (SEO/SEM, analytics, conversion rates, and engagement) to optimize campaign effectiveness.
- Undertake any additional duties or assignments as directed by the Head of Consultancy, Academic & Professional Development, or any other department consistent with the responsibilities of the position.
General Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Digital Technologies, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in business development, marketing, or commercialization within a corporate, social enterprise, or government environment.
- Proven experience in digital marketing strategy, commercialization initiatives, or innovation-driven projects.
- Hands-on experience with SEO/SEM, Google Analytics, and digital performance tracking tools.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels, including content marketing, email campaigns, social media, and digital advertising.
- Familiarity with web design, content management systems (CMS), and user experience optimization.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and project management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, resultsdriven environment.
- Good knowledge of all different digital marketing channels
