Your new role

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that drive cost reduction, supplier innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and consistently share relevant insights with internal teams and support strategic decision-making.
  • Access supplier strengths and identify new sources across technologies and regions to support evolving business needs.
  • Create commodity business plans and lead initiatives that deliver measurable financial impact and support long-term growth.
  • Implement standardised sourcing procedures, select suppliers early in development cycles, and use metric tools to enhance efficiency and supplier collaboration.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 10 years in procurement leadership and global strategic sourcing.
  • Proficient in business and data analysis, contract and tender management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead transformation initiatives, drive consensus, and implement process changes that enhance business outcomes.
  • Advanced computer literacy in MS Office and SAP; Power BI proficiency is an added advantage.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
  • Highly driven and eager to grow exponentially in their career, with openness to travel across Malaysia and SEA.
