Our client is a precision engineering company specializing in high-accuracy optical and electronic components. They are expanding their operations with a new CNC machining center to support global growth.

The Commissioning Operations Manager will be responsible for leading the establishment, commissioning, and full-scale operation of a new CNC Machining Center. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise in CNC machining processes and a proven background in setting up or managing precision manufacturing facilities. The incumbent will oversee the entire process from installation, machine setup, and production ramp-up to ensuring sustainable, efficient, and high-quality daily operations.

Lead the end-to-end establishment of the CNC machining and lathe facility, encompassing layout planning, utility setup, and workflow design. Responsible for developing, refining, and optimizing CNC milling and turning processes across 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines as well as lathes to ensure operational efficiency and precision performance.

The Commissioning Operations Manager will lead and develop a team of machinists, technicians, and operators, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence. He or she will provide technical guidance in CNC programming, tooling selection, and machining strategies while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 10–15 years of experience in Ultra Precision, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, preferably within high-mix precision manufacturing, electronics, or semiconductor environments.
  • Proven track record in managing departmental operations, setting up CNC machine layouts, and optimizing process workflows to enhance efficiency and precision performance.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Precision, or Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
