About the Role

As a Business Development Engineer at True Eco Sdn Bhd, you will play a key role in driving the company's growth in the fields of wastewater treatment, odour control, and renewable energy solutions. This position requires a technically capable and commercially minded individual who can identify new opportunities, build strong partnerships, and translate customer needs into innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

What you'll be doing

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with True Eco's strategic direction in environmental and renewable energy engineering.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and industry partners.
  • Prepare and deliver professional technical and commercial proposals, presentations, and tenders.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to formulate customized solutions that meet project and client requirements.
  • Conduct market research to monitor industry trends, client needs, and competitor activities.
  • Contribute to the company's business growth strategy and help expand its project portfolio regionally.
  • Provide regular updates and performance reports on business development progress and opportunities.
  • Report directly to Director / Senior Management

What we're looking for

  • Preferably degree in Mechanical/Environment/Chemical Engineering or a related field
  • Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Business are also encouraged to apply, with the ability to quickly pick up engineering and technology-related knowledge
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a business development or sales role within the engineering industry
  • This role requires strong analytical and numerical ability. Strong academic background, with at least an A grade in Additional Mathematics (SPM, UEC or STPM) and an A grade in Statistics (university subject or STPM). No specific requirements are imposed on language subject results.
  • Proven track record of successfully identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical engineering principles and applications
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and persuade both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proactive, adaptable, and customer-focused approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently to achieve results
