BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (BD) MANAGER

Based in Senai, Johor

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Business Developer based in Senai, Johor, to drive growth and expand our market presence across Malaysia. Reporting to the General Manager in Singapore, the role focuses on client follow-ups, tender responses, proposal coordination with technical teams, identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate has a background in Mechanical or Material Engineering, strong industry knowledge, excellent communication skills, and works closely with Technical and Operations teams in both Malaysia and Singapore, with potential for future regional responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth by developing and executing strategic plans, identifying new business opportunities, and expanding the client base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering proposals, presentations, and contracts effectively.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking, and market research to stay ahead of trends and competitors.
  • Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure smooth execution of client requirements and business commitments.
  • Lead and mentor internal teams, fostering alignment, ownership, and a collective success mindset.
  • Willing to travel as required to meet clients and support business development activities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business/Marketing with a technical background.
  • 10–15 years of experience in business development, sales, or similar roles in service-based companies.
  • Proactive, results-driven, able to work independently, with proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong leadership, team mentoring, and motivational skills, with experience in contract negotiation and proposal writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English; Malay fluency is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel for work as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM10, RM14,000.00 per month
