Statutory Reporting

  • Lead the end-to-end production of the Integrated Report and Sustainability Report, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and global reporting frameworks, as well as Group strategy and narrative.
  • Manage the publication timeline, including budgeting, project planning, content structure, editorial, design, production and distribution.
  • Prepare tender briefs, manage agency pitches, evaluate proposals, and develop all relevant paperwork to support vendor selection in line with procurement requirements. This includes letter of award, contract, payments etc.
  • Manage and oversee the appointed agency to ensure disciplined budget use, timely delivery, and consistently high quality output. This includes leading cadence meetings and relevant discussions.
  • Oversee quality control of all publications through copywriting, editing, proofreading, fact checking and adherence to brand standards.
  • Coordinate and collaborate across the Group and with the agency, on content, including reviews and approvals. Keep stakeholders informed regularly, on progress.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to refine narratives, strengthen storytelling and enhance strategic communication.
  • Drive continuous improvements in publication processes, dissemination and repurposing of content for broader visibility.

Note: This is a full-cycle annual project that typically kicks off in August and concludes in April/May of the following year, requiring dedicated focus and full-time commitment throughout the reporting period.

Thought Leadership Content Development

  • Conduct research on industry trends, relevant government policies and global news in order to craft appropriate messaging to position RHB as thought leader.
  • Develop and/or review speeches, presentations, talking points and other leadership content to support positioning of the Group and senior executives as industry thought leaders. This includes letters to Ministries, government officials, and stakeholders.
  • Review and/or draft other communication materials for businesses and leaders in an effective and timely manner.
  • Lead the production of special editions, coffee table books, as and when required.

Awards Management

  • Lead the corporate awards submission and nominations for Communications, ensuring timely, high quality entries aligned with Group's strategy.
  • Work with internal businesses to source content, validate data point, and position submission effectively, where relevant.
  • Track awards received by the Group for reporting, monitoring and communication purposes.

Internal Corporate Reporting

  • Assist Head of Unit with the reporting function, providing comprehensive reports for the Board, Group Management meetings, Committees and other Management level meetings. This includes Business planning, budget submissions etc.

Media Monitoring

  • Assist the team with effective media monitoring including delivering daily Morning News and Evening News (when required) to the Board, Management and key leaders in a timely manner, with minimal errors and relevant coverage.

Crisis Communications

  • Co-manage the execution of crisis communications strategies effectively and in a timely manner. This includes:
    • Mapping issues/concerns/allegations/actions/risks etc
    • Engaging with all relevant parties in determining the right course of action/response.
    • Participating in working streams/working groups etc.
    • Working with appointed agencies/consultants/lawyers etc.
  • Actively strengthen Group-wide preparedness for reputational risk through updated issues management playbooks, scenario planning, and cross-departmental simulations to ensure timely, effective crisis response.
  • Assist with the management of monthly submission of risk register, liquidity crisis trigger report, and other relevant materials.

Others

  • Efficiently manage the Department's email inbox by ensuring timely responses and prioritising communication in alignment with the Group's strategic objectives.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Unit Head, as and when required.
  • Support and strictly adhere to procurement processes, including audit processes.
