HR Manager

We are seeking two experienced and proactive HR Managers to oversee and enhance our Human Resources functions in Kedah and Kuala Lumpur. The HR Managers will be responsible for leading HR operations, ensuring compliance with Malaysian labour laws, managing employee relations, and supporting the organisation's people strategy.
Candidates must have solid HR knowledge, strong understanding of labour legislation, experience managing unions and foreign workers, and the ability to work effectively with teams at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training & development, compensation & benefits, and employee relations.
* Ensure full compliance with the Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act, OSHA, and other relevant labour legislations.
* Handle union matters, including negotiations, grievance management, and maintaining positive union–management relations.
* Manage and monitor foreign worker employment processes, including recruitment, permit renewals, compliance, and record-keeping.
* Review and develop HR policies, SOPs, and best practices for effective HR governance.
* Oversee disciplinary matters and guide managers on proper procedures and documentation.
* Support management with HR analytics, reports, and workforce planning.
* Maintain a positive and productive work culture that supports organisational growth.
* For the KL-based role: frequent travel to Kedah is required to oversee operations and provide consistent HR support.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or any related field.
* Minimum 5–7 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
* Strong understanding of Malaysian labour laws, HR best practices, and statutory requirements.
* Experience handling unionised environments and managing collective agreements is highly preferred.
* Familiarity with foreign worker management, including regulatory processes and compliance.
* Able to read and write in Mandarin to handle documentation and communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
* Stable employment history with proven long-term commitment in previous roles.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and exercise good judgement.
* Willing to travel (for KL position).
