About the role

Northeast Precision SDN BHD is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Account Officer to join our dynamic team in Bukit Minyak, Penang. As a Senior Account Officer, you will play a key role in our Financial Accounting & Reporting department, contributing to the company's overall financial management and strategic decision-making.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, statements, and reports in a timely manner
  • Reconcile accounts, analyse financial data, and identify trends and insights to support business decisions
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial information and recommendations
  • Mentor and train junior members of the accounting team
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes and systems

What we're looking for

  • A relevant degree in Accounting or Finance, with a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or CPA)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar senior accounting role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and improvement
