About the role

Cititel Express Ipoh is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Manager to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall security operations at our Ipoh Perak location. As a full-time position, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the safety and protection of our guests, employees, and property.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive security policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Managing and leading a team of security personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Conducting regular risk assessments and implementing appropriate security measures to mitigate potential threats
  • Liaising with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services to coordinate response plans
  • Monitoring and maintaining security systems, such as CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
  • Investigating and reporting on any security incidents or breaches
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant security regulations and industry standards

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a security management role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Strong understanding of security principles, best practices, and relevant legislation
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and train security personnel
  • Proficient in the use of security systems and technology, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Relevant security qualifications or certifications would be an advantage
