Job Description:

1. M&E Drawing Review & Coordination

  • Read, review, and interpret M&E construction drawings, SLDs (Single Line Diagrams), schematic layouts, and combined services drawings (CSD).
  • Identify discrepancies, clashes, or coordination issues between architectural, structural, and M&E services.
  • Collaborate with consultants and subcontractors to resolve technical drawing issues.
  • Ensure updated as-built drawings reflect actual installations and approved modifications.

2. Compliance with M&E Specifications & Standards

  • Verify that installations follow approved M&E shop drawings, project specifications, and local authority regulations (e.g. TNB, Bomba, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, SPAN).
  • Ensure all M&E equipment and components (e.g., switchboards, HVAC units, pumps, DBs) meet design performance and brand specifications.

3. M&E System Testing & Integration

  • Supervise pre-commissioning and functional testing (e.g., IR test, continuity test, water pressure test, fire alarm loop test).
  • Coordinate with system specialists (e.g., lift, CCTV, PA, BMS, genset) for final commissioning and integration.
  • Verify certification and compliance for handover documents (e.g., testing certificates, O&M manuals, warranties).

4. Interface with Construction Activities

  • Coordinate closely with civil and structural teams to ensure proper M&E embedment (e.g., sleeves, opening provisions, pull boxes) before concreting or wall closing.
  • Ensure temporary M&E works (e.g., site power, pump systems) are installed and dismantled safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor M&E access, clearance, and service space for maintainability.

Job Requirements:

  1. Diploma/Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 6 years working experience on M&E works in Main Contractor.
  3. Able to work independently and attend consultant/client inspections.
  4. Good understanding of TNB, Bomba, SPAN, ST, and CIDB requirements.
  5. Strong ability to interpret M&E drawings and coordinate with other disciplines.
  6. Familiar with construction sequences and critical M&E milestones.
