The Exam and Data Manager is responsible for ensuring the integrity and excellence of all assessment processes, while driving data-informed decision-making across the school. This role oversees internal and external examinations, maintains compliance with Cambridge International Education (CIE) standards, and leverages student performance analytics to shape academic strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Examinations & Assessments

  • Oversee the planning, organisation, and execution of all internal and external examinations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with CIE on IGCSE examination matters.
  • Lead and oversee the registration process for IGCSE examination and ensure the accuracy of the subject registration for students.
  • Manage changes to student examination registration.
  • Ensure compliance with Cambridge standards and school policies in exam administration, including secure storage and handling of exam materials.
  • Supervise Assistant Examination Coordinator in registering students for all external examinations, preparing venues, invigilation, and logistics.
  • Ensure that the classrooms and examination venues are set-up in compliance with internal policy and CIE standards.
  • Develop and refine examination protocols, including contingency plans for disruptions.
  • Ensure Assistant Examination Coordinator set up classrooms and examination venues in compliance with internal policies and Cambridge examination standards.

Data Analytics & Academic Insights

  • Collect, analyse, and interpret student performance data across year groups and subjects.
  • Produce detailed academic reports for the Principal, Leadership Team, and Heads of Department to inform strategy.
  • Analyse student performance data to identify learning gaps and propose targeted interventions to support students.
  • Prepare detailed academic reports for the Principals, Management Staff, and Heads of Departments to facilitate data-driven discussions.
  • Ensure that all data related to staff and students are stored safely and in line with the school's regulatory policies.
  • Lead school-wide initiatives in data analysis to evaluate teaching effectiveness  and track academic outcomes, utilising performance metrics to refine academic strategies.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting systems for ongoing monitoring of progress and performance.

Curriculum & Student Progress

  • Collaborate with academic leaders to align assessment outcomes with curriculum goals.
  • Ensure that assessments are fair, transparent, and accurately reflect the learning objectives.
  • Guide teachers on using assessment data to inform instruction and differentiation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's in Education or related field (Master's preferred).
  • At least 5 years of teaching and 3 years in academic leadership under the CIE curriculum.
  • At least 3 years of experience in exam management and data analysis.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
