Our client is a top consumer goods group of companies with offices and branches throughout Malaysia. They are looking for a Head of Logistics, reporting to Group CEO.   This person will be accountable for leading and building the organization logistics as a business through effective planning and management of the business strategy, market positioning, logistic operations and people management to ensure the organization viability and financial sustainability of the business. Key Accountabilities: 1. Accountable for the development of business direction and operating set -up. 1.1 Define organisational purpose, values, principles, vision, and mission. 1.2 Establish an organisational structure to support organisation's short -term and long -term objectives. 1.3 Develop a 5 -year strategy plan that focuses on business growth and expansion beyond GTM, including diversification of revenue stream and service offerings. 2. Responsible to lead and build a high -performing workforce/team. 2.1 Create a high -performance work culture/environment through HPWO implementation (enabling, empowering, enriching). 2.2 Implement initiatives for improving and monitoring employee engagement levels. 2.3 Develop a talent pool at ground operations and devise retention strategies. 3. Accountable for the management of financial and resource allocation. 3.1 Identify and implement strategies to better manage financial position. 3.2 Analyse financial performance and identify areas for cost optimisation and better budget allocation. 3.3 Ensure updated budget plans, profitability and losses statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements to make objective and sound business decisions. 4. Responsible to develop and implement strategies to optimise market penetration in the logistics and supply chain industry. 4.1 Explore opportunities to provide logistics services to the organization and its subsidiaries. 4.2 Identify potential areas to diversify services, such as freight forwarding, warehouse, consulting, and more. 4.3 Provision of advice and guidance on the best practices on logistics and supply chain policies development or regulatory monitoring. 4.4 Support the organization and its subsidiaries in distribution and delivery activities. 5. Responsible to build and maintain excellent relationships with various internal and external stakeholders. 5.1 Continuous engagement with existing stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements. 5.2 Conduct networking activities, forums, proactive solutions activation and sharing sessions with stakeholders. 5.3 Collaborate and gather feedback/input from stakeholders in analyzing and evaluating current business models. RequirementsBachelor's Degree preferably in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related disciplines.MBA or Master's Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.7 to 10 years of relevant working experience with 4 to 5 years of managerial experience.Excellent written and oral command of Bahasa Malaysia and English (other additional languages would be an added advantage).Experience and proven track record in the logistics and supply chain industry, particularly third -party logistics (3PL), is an added advantage.Experience in the logistics and supply chain operations, such as transportation, warehousing, distribution, and more, is an added advantage.Broad based skillset with strong financial and business acumen.Performance management – Experience in managing full P&L and business units with proven success in improving business.Strategic thinking – Experience in formulating annual budget and strategic plan as well as monitoring with appropriate KPI.Stakeholder management.Strong leadership qualities.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
