The Opportunity

Our client is a leading organisation in the exhibitions and interior fit-out industry, with a state-of-the-art fabrication facility supporting large-scale regional projects. They are currently seeking an experienced
Factory Manager
to oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations in
Dubai, UAE.

In this pivotal role, you will drive production excellence, operational efficiency, and team performance across multiple departments, including carpentry, metalwork, painting, CNC, finishing, and logistics. You will ensure seamless coordination between production and project teams, uphold the highest quality standards, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

The Talent

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related technical field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in production or factory environments, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity within exhibitions, events, or interior fit-out.
  • Strong understanding of materials, production workflows, and finishing techniques for event and exhibition fabrication.
  • Proficient in interpreting CAD drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experienced in ERP or production management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of workplace safety regulations and compliance standards.

The Job

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee all factory departments to ensure production aligns with project timelines, quality standards, and client requirements.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to optimise resources and capacity utilisation.
  • Drive collaboration across Design, Project Management, Procurement, and Site Teams for seamless project execution.
  • Lead production meetings, address operational challenges, and implement process improvements.

Process and Efficiency Management

  • Continuously review and refine workflows to enhance productivity and competitiveness.
  • Monitor and optimise manpower planning, factory capacity, and equipment utilisation.
  • Implement lean manufacturing practices to streamline operations and eliminate inefficiencies.

Quality and Safety

  • Ensure all fabrication and fit-out works meet company and client quality standards.
  • Uphold full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Promote a safety-first culture through regular audits, training, and preventive actions.

Cost and Performance Management

  • Manage and control factory budgets, reducing wastage and driving cost efficiencies.
  • Maintain accurate production tracking, reporting, and performance analytics.
  • Monitor key performance metrics to ensure delivery, quality, and cost targets are achieved.

People Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and skilled workers to build a high-performance culture.
  • Conduct performance reviews and implement training programs for continuous development.
  • Foster teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence across all departments.
