Position: MES Software Engineer

Gul Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a leading PCB manufacturer, is seeking an experienced MES Software Engineer to lead MES/EAP system development, integration, and optimization. Based in Kulim, Kedah, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a global organization focused on quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.


Role Purpose:

Lead and support MES/EAP system development, integration, and maintenance to ensure robust and efficient manufacturing operations. The role requires strong technical expertise, analytical ability, and cross-functional collaboration to drive system performance and continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

Provide advanced technical support for MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and EAP to ensure high system availability and reliability.

Analyze and resolve complex MES user issues, data exceptions, and system interface errors.

Design, develop, and implement MES system enhancements to meet evolving production needs.

Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration across factory systems (ERP, SPC, WMS, etc.).

Monitor system performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.

Prepare monthly system performance reports and contribute to annual planning and audit activities.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in MES/EAP development, configuration, or system support within a manufacturing environment (preferably semiconductor or PCB industry).
  • Proficient in Java, C#/.NET, and SQL Server or Oracle databases.
  • Strong understanding of system integration, data management, and manufacturing process flows.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple technical tasks independently.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with equipment integration, data collection systems, or EAP frameworks.
  • Involvement in system improvement or automation projects within manufacturing.
