Our client Yihai Malaysia Food Sdn Bhd is seeking a Food Safety Manager to join their team

What you'll be doing?
  • Develop systems: Create and enhance food safety, safety, and quality management systems across multiple countries.
  • Manage risks: Oversee food safety risks and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Monitor regulations: Stay updated on food safety regulations and provide training and corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct audits: Perform internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze data: Review food safety performance data and customer complaints to drive corrective actions.
  • Handle tasks: Manage ad-hoc food safety tasks and respond to urgent issues as they arise.
Who are they looking for?
  • Background: A background in Food Science, Food Engineering, Biology, or Quality Management is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a senior food safety role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Standards: Strong understanding of international food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO
  • Supplier management: Experience in cross-country supplier management or multi-region audits is highly preferred.
  • Language: Fluent in both Chinese and English for daily communication and reporting.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, risk assessment capability, and effective communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Ability to manage ad-hoc tasks, respond to urgent issues, and collaborate across departments.
  • Travel: Willingness to collaborate across countries and travel when required.
