A reputable IT services firm based in Kuala Lumpur, established in 2012, providing consulting, software development, and systems integration. It specializes in custom web and mobile applications, API development, data analytics, and workflow automation for industries like healthcare, telecom, and utilities. The company promotes a culture of openness, trust, and innovation.

They are seeking an experienced IT System Architect to collaborate with teams and stakeholders to understand technical requirements, provide accurate estimates, and identify opportunities for improvement, particularly in system architecture design, cloud solutions, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with technical architects, domain leads, and business transformation teams to define and enforce architecture standards, patterns, and designs
  • Work with stakeholders to align technology solutions with business goals, provide input on strategic planning, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain deep expertise in relevant technology domains, develop target architectures, and ensure compliance with IT strategy while balancing cost and risk
  • Coordinate with data users and stakeholders to improve data architecture maturity and lead documentation of corporate data models
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships, influence change, and assess risks in design decisions, ensuring mitigations for effective delivery within budget constraints

Requirements

Work Experience & Knowledge:

  • 5+ years in architecture or domain lead roles (applications, integration, data, or infrastructure)
  • Proven experience in multi-system solution design and integration across architectural domains
  • Strong knowledge of technologies such as Microsoft Dynamics, Azure, SQL Server, Office 365, SharePoint, and infrastructure (compute, network, storage)
  • Familiarity with application lifecycle management, development platforms, data modeling, and ISO 27001 standards
  • Experience with system design methodologies emphasizing reuse, maintainability, and supportability; mobile development experience is a plus

Education & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of corporate systems (Finance, HR, Procurement) and industry-specific technologies (e.g., water industry) is an advantage
  • Understanding of architecture best practices, modeling tools, software development lifecycles, ITIL, and information security
  • Strong communication, business awareness, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
