We're looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager from the grocery industry to lead our team and ensure a steady, cost-effective, and efficient supply of grocery products.

Job Descriptions:

  • Develop and implement purchasing and supply chain strategies tailored to the grocery business while ensuring product freshness, availability, and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee end-to-end procurement for grocery items, including sourcing, price negotiation, vendor evaluation, and contract management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and distributors to secure reliable sources of fresh and dry goods.
  • Manage inventory levels across all categories to prevent overstocking or shortages, maintaining ideal stock rotation and freshness.
  • Collaborate closely with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth and timely deliveries to stores.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the purchasing team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Utilize inventory systems to track stock movements, analyze buying trends, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Work closely with warehouse operations to align purchasing activities with customer demand and sales strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field.
  • Proven experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain within the grocer industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and industry trends, specifically within the grocer sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Freelance

Pay: RM6, RM8,000.00 per month
