Role Purpose

To study customer/ product/ process requirement and propose the most efficient ways to increase efficiency through the management of people, methods, machine, material, information and technology. IE also work with SME to identify opportunities to eliminate waste from the products' value stream.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible in determining the workflow and layout of production facilities including tools and equipment, standard time, motion studies and other engineering studies.
  • Establish, validate and maintain Standard Time Value (STV) database.
  • Performs a variety of engineering assignments in work measurement for the establishment of standards.
  • Plans and determines utilization of tools and machines in production floor and manpower utilization.
  • Plans tools layout, workflow, and safety measures to maintain efficient process.
  • Plans and conduct work study and training programs to promote efficient personnel utilization.
  • Support program/ project for developing new work methods, improvement activities and other work standardization activities.
  • Responsible to identify opportunity for improvement relates to yield rate (quality), availability hours, efficiency and safety.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis and capable of contributing ideas for containment actions and solutions.
  • Works closely with other engineering disciplines in the development and application of standard works to increase production quality, efficiency or volume.
  • Support the implementation of lean manufacturing activities.
  • Accountable for meeting measurable annual individual performance goals cascaded from and aligned to higher organization level goals.
  • Comply with Spirit AeroSystems Code of Ethics, 5S and EHS policies, AS9100, NADCAP, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and all applicable customer standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in technical disciplines such as industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering.
  • 2 - 5 years of working experience in relevant fields.
  • Microsoft Excel, Access, AutoCAD and CATIA skills will be an advantage.
  • Excellent command of English; and able to converse in Bahasa Malaysia.

  • Proven track record of ability to perform under minimal supervision.
