Job Descriptions:
- Assist the superior in the preparation and management of cost estimations and tender exercises for current and upcoming projects.
- Conduct thorough cost comparisons and analyses to ensure accurate pricing and informed decision-making.
- Liaise and negotiate effectively with main contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure competitive and cost-effective sourcing.
- Accurately measure quantities and perform take-offs to support cost estimation and project planning.
- Prepare and manage progress claims, ensuring they align with contractual agreements and project milestones.
- Evaluate and prepare sub-contractor payments, ensuring timely and accurate financial management.
- Attend site meetings regularly, providing support in addressing site issues and assisting in the preparation of letters, reports, and correspondence.
- Review and assess contract documents, project scopes, and changes to ensure cost control and project performance.
- Assist in the preparation of final account settlements and ensure the proper documentation of all project costs and variations.
- Undertake and performs related duties and special events as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of working experience, preferably in property development and construction.
- Experience in evaluating subcontractor quotations and preparing progress claims.
- Experience in measuring quantities, performing take-offs and preparing bills of quantities (BQ).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- High attention to detail, ensuring accurate cost estimations, take-offs and financial reporting.
