Head of School – Engineering and Technology

The London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) Malaysia Campus is seeking a visionary and accomplished academic leader to head our School of Engineering and Technology (SOET). This is a unique opportunity to shape the academic direction of a dynamic and fast-growing institution. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, proven strategic leadership, and a drive for innovation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership to the academic faculty and staff.
  • Develop and implement academic strategies and policies aligned with LSBF's mission and goals.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, innovative, and industry-relevant academic programmes.
  • Foster a culture of academic excellence, research, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee curriculum development, accreditation processes, and quality assurance.
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier faculty and academic staff.
  • Promote a student-centred learning environment that enhances student engagement and success.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, alumni, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent LSBF in academic and professional forums, enhancing the institution's reputation and influence.
  • Be well-versed in MQA document submissions and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the development of new programmes and strategic academic initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Must have a Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in a relevant field .
  • Proven experience in an academic leadership role, preferably as Head of School, Dean, or equivalent.
  • A strong track record of academic and professional achievements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse academic teams effectively.
  • MUST have Experience working with UK partner universities, including programme validation, franchising, or collaborative arrangements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • A strategic thinker with a passion for innovation in higher education.
  • Experience with accreditation processes and quality assurance frameworks.
  • A commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and globally engaged academic community.
