Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with SME clients.
- Understand clients' business needs and provide tailored banking solutions, including business loans, trade finance, working capital solutions, and cash management services.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all banking needs and deliver exceptional customer service.
Sales & Business Development:
Proactively identify opportunities to grow the bank's SME portfolio.
- Achieve sales targets for loan products, trade services, and other SME-focused banking solutions.
- Lead client meetings and negotiations to secure new business.
Portfolio & Risk Management:
Oversee and manage a portfolio of SME clients, ensuring profitability and sustainability.
- Assess clients' financial health and creditworthiness, providing advice on financial strategies and solutions.
- Monitor and manage risk, ensuring compliance with the bank's credit policies and procedures.
Collaboration & Coordination:
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., credit, operations, compliance) to ensure seamless service to clients.
- Work closely with other departments to meet clients' needs and provide integrated banking solutions.
Market Research & Reporting:
Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes that affect SMEs.
- Provide regular reports on portfolio performance, sales targets, and client feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in banking or financial services, specifically with SMEs or business banking.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing SME portfolios.
- Experience with cross-selling banking products such as loans, trade finance, and cash management services.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in banking or finance are an advantage.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to analyze financial statements and identify business needs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English and [insert local language(s) if necessary].
