Job Description

  • Conduct research on potential materials and suppliers, comparing price, quality, and availability to ensure best-value procurement.
  • Possess fundamental knowledge of civil engineering materials and their applications.
  • Source, contact, and compile quotations from various suppliers based on project and management requirements.
  • Strategize and negotiate effectively with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, reliability, and long-term value.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company procedures, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to verify material specifications, quantities, and technical requirements before purchase to ensure full compliance with project needs.
  • Monitor delivery progress and ensure goods are received on time, in the correct quantity and quality as per Purchase Order (PO).
  • Liaise with suppliers on delivery schedules and follow up closely on pending orders.
  • Arrange transportation or logistics for material deliveries whenever required, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods.
  • Coordinate with transporters, drivers, and project teams to avoid delays, and ensure smooth material movement.
  • Assist Project Managers/Engineers in procuring civil-related materials for construction sites
  • Work closely with the Admin team to prepare Purchase Orders upon receiving purchase confirmation.
  • Prepare and update all purchase records, supplier databases, and documentation in a timely and organized manner.

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must be a graduate with Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Civil / SPM or equivalent
  • At least 1 year minimum working experience in the related field is required. Besides that should there be overall working experience of more than two (2) years available, it will be highly considered
  • Required Skill (s): Ms Office, Ms Project, Auto Cad
  • Required language: Bahasa Malaysia & English
  • Highly dedicated, good interpersonal/communication skills, responsible, adaptability and planning skill
  • Full time positions available for immediate vacancy (Head Office based)
