Jobs Descriptions:

  • Oversee the daily activities of the R&D Department
  • Responsible for all research and development of products related matters.
  • To develop new products, formulate different types of products, and explore market needs or trends for future development.
  • Conduct sensory evaluation for new and existing product samples or when it is necessary.
  • Applied research into aspects of food processing, food preservation, food quality, food deterioration, packaging, and storage.
  • Coordinate trial runs with relevant departments and conduct process validation of the new formulation.
  • Establish, compile, check, and approve ingredients, manufacturing, and finished product specifications and labelling compliance to food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with procurement on new raw materials suitability for product improvement, materials replacement, cost saving & etc.
  • To prepare reports of the R&D department for management.
  • Ensure all R&D documentation and daily analysis records are updated, maintained, reviewed, and filed in accordingly.
  • To perform ad hoc tasks assigned by the superior / management from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Food Science/Food Technology/Microbiology or equivalent.
  • 8 years and above experience in the food industry.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision and well-equipped with a multi-tasking ability.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity or knowledge of FSSC2200, GMP, HACCP, and ISO quality management systems and other food-related regulations will be an added advantage
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Seberang Perai Tengah.
