We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Quantity Surveyor to support cost management, tender preparation, contract administration, and project financial control for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, sound knowledge of Malaysian construction standards, and the ability to work effectively with project teams, consultants, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare Bill of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, and tender documents based on project drawings and specifications.
  • Evaluate and analyze contractor/subcontractor quotations, proposals, and claims.
  • Manage progress claims, variation orders (VOs), and final accounts.
  • Conduct cost monitoring and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in contract negotiation, award recommendations, and procurement processes.
  • Liaise with site teams, consultants, and suppliers to ensure cost accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
  • Perform site visits to verify work progress and measure completed works.
  • Ensure all QS-related documentation is accurate, organized, and up-to-date.
  • Support the project team in achieving budget targets and mitigating cost risks.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years experience in QS roles (fresh graduates may be considered for junior positions).
  • Good understanding of Malaysian Standard Method of Measurement (SMM2) and relevant construction contracts (e.g., PAM, JKR).
  • Proficiency in QS software and tools (e.g., CostX, AutoCAD, Excel).
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Must possess CIDB Green Card (or willing to obtain).
