Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team at HL-Manufacturing Industries Sdn. Bhd. The successful candidate will be involved in cost estimation, contract administration, and project coordination for construction and precast-related projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive, team-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BQ).
  • Handle taking-off quantities and prepare tender documents, progress claims, and contracts.
  • Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and cost efficiency.
  • Liaise closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate cost control and timely project execution.
  • Evaluate bids, quotations, and proposals from contractors and suppliers.
  • Monitor and manage contract administration and project cost control.
  • Conduct site visits, verify on-site BQs, and perform quality checks when required.
  • Utilize SAP system for documentation and cost management.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in construction or related industry. (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Malay.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of accurate measurement and cost calculation.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in the precast industry is an added advantage.
