About the role

We are seeking an experienced Import Executive to join our dynamic team at TMI Container Line Sdn Bhd. This full-time position is based in Klang, Selangor and will play a crucial role in our Import/Export & Customs operations. As the Import Executive, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of the import process, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our valued customers.

What you'll be doing

  1. Coordinating the import clearance process, including preparing and submitting all necessary documentation to customs and other relevant authorities
  2. Liaising with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to facilitate the smooth flow of import shipments
  3. Monitoring shipment status and providing regular updates to internal stakeholders and customers
  4. Identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies related to import shipments
  5. Maintaining accurate records and reporting on import activities
  6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant import regulations and procedures
  7. Providing support and guidance to the wider logistics team as needed

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in an import-focused role, preferably within the logistics or manufacturing industry
  2. Strong knowledge of import processes, customs regulations, and documentation requirements
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  4. Proficient in using relevant software and systems for import management
  5. Meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  7. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
