Our client is seeking a General Manager to join their team

What you'll be doing?
  • Strategic leadership: Direct and coordinate company operations to optimize market share, efficiency, and customer service while achieving organizational goals.
  • Project oversight: Ensure smooth execution of all construction projects and efficient functioning of all departments through effective planning and delegation.
  • Business development: Identify and secure new business opportunities, develop client relationships, and improve customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Policy and performance management: Assist in establishing company policies, organize and review personnel performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Tender management: Supervise and review tender/proposal preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements and commercial strategy.
  • Stakeholder relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, regulatory bodies, consultants, partners, contractors, and suppliers.
Who are they looking for?
  • Educational background: A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, providing a solid foundation for understanding industry-specific challenges.
  • Industry experience: Minimum 10 years of working experience in the water, wastewater, or sewerage treatment industry, bringing valuable insights and expertise to the role.
  • Leadership skills: Strong abilities in leadership, negotiation, and team management, essential for guiding the organization towards success.
  • Communication prowess: Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage diverse stakeholders and complex situations.
  • Strategic thinking: Experience in business development and tender processes, coupled with a strategic mindset to drive company growth.
  • Mobility: Possess own transport and be willing to travel, as the role may require site visits and client meetings.
  • Language proficiency: Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English, crucial for effective communication with local and international stakeholders.
