Maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring excellent service and repeat business.
Job Scope: A Customer Service Representative in an international NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) shipping company plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth communication between customers, agents, and internal teams. Their responsibilities include:
Customer Interaction & Support
Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding bookings, shipments, and inquiries.
- Provide accurate information on freight rates, transit times, documentation requirements, and shipment status.
Address and resolve customer complaints, delays, and disputes professionally.
Shipment Coordination & Documentation
Process bookings and confirm shipment schedules with carriers and agents.
- Ensure timely issuance and verification of Bill of Lading (B/L), shipping instructions, and customs documentation.
Coordinate with internal teams (operations, finance, and sales) for smooth cargo movement.
Handling Freight & Logistics Operations
Monitor shipments and provide real-time updates to customers on vessel schedules, container tracking, and delivery status.
- Assist in handling delays, rollovers, or changes in shipping plans.
Work closely with overseas agents, carriers, and port authorities to resolve operational issues.
Problem Resolution & Claims Handling
Investigate shipment discrepancies, lost cargo, or damages, and guide customers on claims procedures.
Coordinate with insurance providers or legal teams when necessary.
Customer Relationship Management & Service Enhancement
Gather customer feedback to improve service quality.
Support sales teams by providing necessary customer insights and data.
Compliance & Industry Regulations
Ensure all shipments comply with international shipping regulations (FMC, IMO, Customs, etc.).
Stay updated on trade regulations, tariffs, and restrictions for various countries.
Coordination with Finance & Billing
Assist customers with invoice clarifications, freight charges, and payment follow-ups.
- Ensure all shipping documentation aligns with billing requirements to avoid disputes.

- Excellent Communication & Problem-Solving Skills
- Knowledge of Freight Terms, Incoterms, Shipping Market and Documentation
- Proficiency in Shipping Software & CRM Tools
- Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced I
