My client is looking for a high-energy, results-oriented Business Development professional to drive new market penetration for our client's automation solutions in Penang's dynamic industrial landscape. This is a pure hunter role—ideal for an individual contributor who thrives on initiating conversations, forging strategic relationships, and delivering intelligent automation systems that elevate operational performance.

You'll represent innovation at the frontline, engaging directly with decision-makers across any sectors that needs warehouse or packaging solutions. Your mission: to position our client's cutting-edge technologies—from robotics and machine vision to IIoT and smart factory platforms—as the go-to solutions for manufacturers seeking transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Penang's industrial clusters, targeting mid-to-large manufacturers.
  • Consult with clients to understand operational pain points and tailor automation solutions that drive efficiency, safety, and ROI.
  • Build and manage a robust sales funnel from lead generation to deal closure, with full accountability for revenue targets.
  • Influence plant managers, engineers, and C-level executives through compelling presentations and technical storytelling.
  • Work closely with application engineers, product specialists, and marketing teams to deliver seamless client experiences.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor movements, and emerging technologies to sharpen your pitch and positioning.

Requirement:

  • Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally within automation, industrial equipment, or manufacturing tech.
  • Strong hunter mentality—self-motivated, persistent, and fearless in cold outreach and networking.
  • Technical aptitude to grasp automation concepts and translate them into business value.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Familiarity with Penang's industrial landscape and local business culture is a strong advantage.
