About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Construction Coordinator to join our team at MY NAFCO PRECISION SDN. BHD. in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan. As a full-time Construction Coordinator, you will play a key role in overseeing and coordinating the construction process to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and to budget.

What you'll be doing

  1. Project Coordination: Act as the central point of contact, coordinating day-to-day activities between the project team, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
  2. Communication & Reporting: Facilitate clear and timely communication, preparing regular progress reports, status updates, and documentation
  3. Site Management: Oversee on-site work to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, local building codes, and strict Environmental, Health, Safety, and Health (EHS) regulations.
  4. Schedule & Budget: Monitor project timelines, milestones, and expenditures, assisting the GSG Manager to ensure the project remains on schedule and within budget.
  5. Procurement Support: Coordinate the timely delivery and inspection of materials and equipment to the site.
  6. Documentation Control: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, drawings, variations, and close-out records.
  7. Issue Resolution: Proactively identify potential issues, conflicts, and work with relevant parties to resolve them efficiently.

What we're looking for

  1. Degree or diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of proven work experience in Construction Coordination or Site Supervision, preferably within industrial, manufacturing, or heavy civil construction environments.
  3. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
  4. Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  5. Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications and other technical documents
  6. Proficiency in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia and English (speaking, reading, and writing) is a MUST to liaise effectively with our internal management, technical teams, and internal documentation.
  7. Strong knowledge of local Malaysian building regulations, safety standards (DOSH/OSHA), and construction best practices.
