About the role:
As an Assistant Manager, you will be the right hand of the Restaurant Manager, helping to lead a vibrant team and ensure every customer enjoys a memorable dining experience. You will be hands-on in both the front and back of house, from guiding staff and managing daily operations to ensuring food quality and service standards are consistently met.
This role is perfect for someone who is proactive, energetic, and passionate about hospitality, eager to take on responsibility, develop leadership skills, and grow within a fast-paced, dynamic F&B environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operational Support: Assist the Restaurant Manager in running daily operations, ensuring smooth coordination between front-of-house and kitchen teams.
- Team Guidance & Mentoring: Provide hands-on support to staff, helping them follow procedures and develop their skills.
- Staff Scheduling Assistance: Help with shift planning and roster management to maintain proper coverage.
- Customer Experience Support: Ensure customers have a positive dining experience and handle minor feedback or service issues.
- Monitor Food Quality & Hygiene: Assist in maintaining standards for food preparation, presentation, and hygiene compliance.
- Assist with Inventory & Supplies: Help track stock levels, coordinate with staff on supplies, and minimize wastage.
- Implement Manager's Initiatives: Support the Restaurant Manager in rolling out new processes, promotions, or operational improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 – 4 years of experience in the F&B industry, preferably in a similar supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience overseeing both service and kitchen operations.
- Able to communicate in Mandarin
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen best practices.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
- Experience in Taiwanese or Asian cuisine will be an added advantage.

- Operational Assistance: Skilled in supporting daily restaurant operations, maintaining workflow and service standards.

- Food Safety & Hygiene Knowledge: Knowledgeable in hygiene, safety, and maintaining consistent food quality.
- Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Able to handle operational challenges, adapt to changing priorities, and assist the manager in implementing solutions.
