What you will be doing (Key Responsibilities):

  • Full Set of Accounts: Control the entire accounting lifecycle.
  • Data Mapping: Reconcile sales data from POS/ERP systems with accurate accounting records.
  • Cash Flow Analysis: Oversee petty cash, staff claims, and outlet sales reports to maintain streamlined operations.
  • Financial Strategy: Forecast cash flow, craft budgets, and collaborate with the operations team to analyze margins, variances, and cost structures.
  • Compliance Expertise: Prepare annual financial statements, handle timely tax submissions, and ensure readiness for audits.
  • Relationship Building: Liaise with auditors, banks, and finance companies to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Payment Management: Process payments and follow up on outstanding dues with clients and suppliers.
  • Record Management: Maintain proper filing, documentation, and overall meticulous financial record-keeping.
  • Strategic Reporting: Manage month-end and year-end closings by finalizing accounts and preparing schedules.

What do we need from you (Job Requirements):

  • A professional certificate, Diploma in Accountancy, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Solid experience in the retail industry or knowledge of retail-specific accounting practices.
  • Familiarity with accounting standards, and best practices.
  • Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia—both written and spoken.
