Position Summary

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Senior Sales Manager leads the development and execution of sales strategies to achieve company targets and profitability. The role oversees the sales team's performance, provides coaching, and drives effective lead generation and market penetration initiatives. Working closely with Supply Chain and Marketing, the Senior Sales Manager ensures seamless operations, competitive pricing, accurate sales reporting, and adherence to budget and company policies. The role also maintains strong client relationships and upholds high standards of professionalism, sales excellence, and team development.

Key responsibilities

  • Develops comprehensive business plans and sales strategies for the market to ensure the achievement of company sales targets and profitability.
  • Oversees the performance and professional development of the sales team, providing guidance, setting performance standards, and monitoring results.
  • Prepares individual and team action plans to support effective lead generation and prospecting.
  • Initiates and coordinates strategies for penetrating new markets.
  • Supports the development and implementation of marketing plans as required.
  • Conducts regular one-on-one reviews with all Sales Staff to enhance communication, identify training and development needs, and provide insight for improving sales performance and activity levels.
  • Provides timely and constructive feedback to senior management regarding team performance.
  • Delivers accurate and competitive pricing on all prospect applications submitted for approval, while ensuring maximum profit margins.
  • Collaborates closely with the Supply Chain Team to ensure seamless coordination and fulfilment.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of pricing, sales activities, and reports.
  • Manages expenses effectively to remain within budget guidelines.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes, and ensures alignment and compliance within the team.
  • Demonstrates exemplary personal conduct, commitment, organizational skills, selling capabilities, and work habits to set a high standard for the sales team.
  • Conducts regular coaching and counselling sessions to enhance motivation and develop strong selling skills within the team.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with all clients in the market to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

Requirement And Qualification

  • Possess at least a Diploma or relevant qualification.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Prior sales experience is essential.
  • Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of QMS/EMS in relation to managerial responsibilities and authorities.

Base Salary: MYR13,000 – MYR18,000 per month
