RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards specific to the food industry.
  • Establish quality goals and objectives in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Prepare and maintain quality assurance plans and schedules.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
  • Identify defects, deviations, and non-compliance issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
  • Develop and execute test plans, including sensory, microbiological, chemical, and physical tests.
  • Perform routine testing to ensure product safety, quality, and compliance with specifications.
  • Document and report testing results, defects, and issues, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), HACCP plans, and quality manuals.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance product quality and safety.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Evaluate and monitor supplier quality and performance.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve product quality.

  • Provide training and support to employees on quality assurance processes and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality-related issues.
  • Serve as a liaison between the QA department and other departments, including production, R&D, and procurement.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess minimum Degree in Food Science & Technology
  • 2-3 years relevant working experience in the related field in food manufacturing environment, preferably in the areas of sourcing and vendor management
  • Trained on the requirements of the HACCP, GMP, MESTI, HALAL and other food safety system
  • Possess positive attitude, self-motivated and self-discipline
  • Ability to work within deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to analyze data and create and review processes
  • Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Able to work independently and work under pressure
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
