The Company


Our client is an American supply chain solutions leader who provides airfreight, ocean freight and contract logistics solutions for more than 120 locations globally.

They support the aerospace, automotive, consumer retail, energy, hi-tech, industrial and many other industries.


Reporting to the Air & Ocean Freight Manager, the Air and Ocean Freight Customer Service will be responsible for processing shipments and all related activities for an assigned base of accounts.

Interact daily with customers, carriers, and potential customers. Proactively provide quality customer service and able to handle pressure and responsibility in a fast-paced environment.

The Air and Ocean Freight Customer Service will be responsible to:

  • Prepare documentation, AirWay Bill / Bill of Lading.
  • Track and trace cargo to ensure proper movement and delivery.
  • Provide the accounting department with accurate and appropriate billing information.
  • Communicate with customers regarding freight disposition including tracking, routing, dispatching and rate quotations.
  • Coordinate with vendors/suppliers regarding shipment dispatch, routing, pricing, and rates.
  • Work closely with the Sales department to ensure proper SOP with selling and cost for shipment arrangement.
  • Coordinate with branches, network office and agents to ensure excellent customer service execution.
  • Search for the best mode of shipment, meet customer's requirements for the movement of freight.
  • Maintain customer focus and answer customer's enquiries using the standard guidelines.
  • Take ownership of complaints and queries and proactively pursue resolution and escalate queries to supervisor if applicable.
  • Engage in diverse customer service activities, including upselling and handling new and existing accounts.
  • Address client issues, answer general inquiries and complaints.
  • Maintain and build strong and longterm relationships with account portfolio.
  • Liaise between clients, operations, and other departments to ensure and provide efficient service levels to the clients.
  • Check and raise invoices as per company objectives and ensure the same is delivered to the correct person within the delivery deadline agreed.
  • Identify and escalate consistent and recurring problem with the systems functionality.
  • Assist and support management and team manager with assigned special projects when required.
  • Adhoc tasks assigned by the superior.

The Requirements

  • SPM, STPM or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of freight forwarding/logistics/supply chain industry experience is preferred.
  • Strong Knowledge of Import/Export industry preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of air and ocean freight products.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay:
RM5, RM6,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
