Candidate Profile

  1. Master degree in engineering;
  2. 10 years' professional experience in the electricity markets, with at least 3 years' experience in sales and proven skills in negotiation, contracting and team management.
  3. Fluent in English and French; a third language (Spanish, German) is a plus.
    Activities The Large BtoB team focuses on developing power-related products, services and solutions (physical power supply, renewable energy (on-site and off-site), electric batteries, solar panels, electric vehicles, CPPA contracts, etc.) for B2B customers worldwide, initially concentrating mainly on the EU, the US and other key industrial markets.

In this context, the Large BtoB team is looking for a Sales Director F/M with the following main responsibilities:

  1. – Implement the strategy for large B2B sales activities in the key geographical areas of the Integrated Power Business Unit (IP BU) outside France: UK, Spain, Belgium, USA or any other market identified as a target for IP BU activities;
  2. – Develop the business by selling the catalogue of electricity and gas products, services and solutions to major B2B customers ;
  3. – Build competitive and differentiated energy solutions to meet the needs of prospects and customers identified as LB2B targets, often in collaboration with the business development teams ;
  4. – Develop a negotiation strategy and contractual solutions that are innovative and meet these needs while being compatible with the limits and capabilities of all the parties involved internally;
  5. – In collaboration with the Large B2B teams, develop innovative offers to add value and meet the needs of large B2B customers in terms of electricity and gas products, services and solutions;
  6. – Lead a team of 8 sales managers responsible for deploying a B2B sales strategy within the IP BU entities;
  7. – Present and defend files as part of the internal approval process (company committees, and involvement of Comex) under the supervision of the manager and the VP Large B2B;
  8. – Contribute to company and management briefings, management/IPBU reports on sales (volumes/revenues), budget and LRP issues.
    The role involves frequent travel, mainly in Europe, and potentially in the USA.Context & Environment In line with its goal of carbon neutrality by 2050, TotalEnergies is significantly strengthening its global position across the entire electricity value chain to become a major player as an integrated power producer in a growing and positively oriented market.     • Be the in-house expert on electricity markets and define the Company's electricity strategy;
    • Market the electricity generated by the Company's renewable assets and optimize their value;
    • Develop and operate the Company's portfolio of flexible power generation assets;
    • Supply B2B and B2C customers and support their decarbonization strategies.
