JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures of computer systems operation and development.
  • Supervise and ensure IT functions and activities.
  • Lead a team of IT engineers, provide technical guidance and mentorship, and contribute to strategic IT planning and decision making.
  • Meet with departments to discuss system requirements, specification, costs, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other IT professionals, managers, and external vendors.
  • Manage and control the existing IT hardware and software system implementations and information technology.
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of system development section.
  • Analyze, plan, implement and manage IT projects. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, develop project plans, allocate resources, manage timelines, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • To evaluate IT products and make recommendations to management.
  • Design and implement IT infrastructures.
  • Handle system administration tasks, such as managing servers, operating systems, databases, and other critical IT systems. Ensure proper installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of these systems.
  • Server's administration, server problem handling, user account management.
  • Responsible for managing the organization's network infrastructure. This involves configuring and maintaining network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), monitoring network performance and security, and troubleshooting network issues.
  • Maintaining the security of the organization's IT systems. Implement security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls. Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
  • Provides technical support to users. Handles escalated technical issues, troubleshoots complex problems, and provides guidance and assistance in resolving IT-related issues.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures. Creates technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials to facilitate knowledge sharing and provide guidance to end
- users.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and evaluate their potential benefits and risks for the organization. Make recommendations for technology upgrades, implement new technologies, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • MRP system and software development support as and when required.
  • Monitor system performance, identify performance bottlenecks, and optimize system configurations to enhance overall efficiency and reliability. Conduct capacity planning to ensure IT resources meet current and future needs.
  • To perform additional responsibilities as and when instructed by Department/Division Head.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years of solid experience in Windows server/network administration, computer networking and project implementation.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Applicants must be Malaysian citizen and willing to work in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
  • Proficient and familiar with server operating systems (Windows, Linux), MRP system, networking protocols, server administration, storage systems, cloud computing and security principles.
  • Knowledge of server virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and server provisioning, configuration and optimization is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs is essential.
  • A solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for identifying and resolving complex infrastructure issues.
  • Effective communication skills are essential to interact with team members, stakeholders, and users.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and keeping up with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices is necessary to stay relevant and adapt to new challenges.

RM4, RM5,500.00 per month
